Simple Pleasures

Simple Pleasures

21 January 2013 - 16 May 2013

What do we truly value in our lives?

As the economic cycle switches from the biblical seven years of plenty to seven years of famine, the simple pleasures in life become an increasingly important factor.  It’s a time to value what we have whilst avoiding dwelling on or regretting what we have not.  In our overly busy lives do we really set enough time aside and step back to appreciate the visual beauty surrounding us in both the natural world and the world we have designed and created?

Join us as we celebrate the pleasure art, craft and design brings to everyday life, its beauty and diversity and what that means to its practitioners, and how that in turn affects the world in which it is placed.

Please join us for the opening event of ‘Simple Pleasures’ on Thursday 24th January, 6 – 8pm.
